Emotion Train

Paul Ekman research work surrounded non verbal behavior and facial expressions, his work led to the concealment of expressions and a deeper understanding in the field of psychology of emotions.  Emotions is said to be able to start even before our conscious mind is aware, and the emotions can override some of our inner most fundamental drives, for instance, disgust can override hunger. This meant that emotions can be difficult to control over what our mind may become emotional about. As such, Paul Ekman states emotions are difficult to hold back and very powerful  in the sense in comparison of a runaway train. He came up with 6 basic forms of expression.

Paul Ekman works have been able to determine the human mind may be unable to control the emotions , however the conscious state trigger could make changes to trigger and the behavior it could lead to. This type of work is used in areas such as devising security measures to counter terrorism or in healthcare to treat mental disorders. His main works have been adapted into security procedures used by public transport systems.
