Analytic Geometry

Rene Descartes, the greatest European innovator in mathematics and also a philosopher; Rene's focal point within mathematics was on uncertainty. He grew substantial interest in this area during the 16th century, as many other mathematicians were describing things that were nonsensical and limitlessness  lacking any form of correlation. Consequently, other paradoxes failure started to appear, and geometry was perceived by Rene as obscure and too restricted.

Evolving on from the work, Rene started to implement analytic's or 'coordination' into the geometry. This meant, he was combining strengths to counteract the weaknesses. The diagram above illustrates a plane geometry, containing x-axis and y-axis, through coordination, overall a distance provides an intersection of the two-axis (Y-Z plane).
