The Concept of Social Fit in Adaptive Structuration Theory

Paper Title

The Concept of Knowledge Fit in Adaptive Structuration Theory

Abstract

Adaptive theories dominate scholarly studies of strategic management, organisation performance and organisation behaviour. The studies in the literature have a common proposition towards the outcome of the organisation – social fit. Social fit is the key concept in this proposition within the overall governing adaptive structuration theory. The paper examines three ways defined in the literature: selection, interaction and systems approach. The paper presents adaptive structuration theory and how it is being perceived in the literature.  The paper presents a critical review of the three approaches to clarify the literature on adaptive structuration theory.
